Discovery Days
August 2025
In August, we gathered several students together to pilot our children's nature-based learning for the year ahead.
Water Chestnut Pulls
July, August 2025
SOS Volunteers gathered together in July & August on Saturday mornings to collect and safely dispose of water chestnuts so they can no longer clog waterways for boats & swimmers. Pulling water chestnuts also reduces the negative impacts on fish populations.

The Reel Report: New York Sea Grant's Stacy Furgal & historian Chris Arney shared the local history of Sodus Bay fishing grounds in our inaugural lecture series.


Under the Sea Splash Gala
June 2025
The Under the Sea Splash Gala welcomed more than 60 supporters and partners to christen the Rose Lummis at Pier 53 in Wolcott. It was a great opportunity to share our vision for programs to serve our community, to protect our environment, and to raise money towards the goal of preserving, protecting and promoting Sodus Bay.
