Every year the Ocean Conservancy holds an International coastal clean up day and we combine this with a clean up around Sodus Bay. Participants remove trash and debris our beach and waterways, identify the sources of that debris.
Families, organizations, school groups, scout troops, 4H clubs, and individuals are invited to participate in this public service activity! Closed toed shoes and a wind break layer are recommended to be worn. Children under 12 must be supervised.
This Year’s Meet up is on Saturday September 15th at 8:00 A.M. at Sodus Point Beach Park. From there we’ll break into groups to collect and tally trash.
Refreshments will be provided and all participants will receive a community service certificate.
