Comments:

All samples collected on September 6th were analyzed for blue-green algal toxins using the protein phosphatase inhibition assay. There was a blue-green algal bloom within the Bay. There was the greatest accumulation on the eastern shore due to strong winds, but was also seen in some of the alcoves around the Bay.

Values given in red are preliminary results and require further processing. Any new results will be distributed as soon as they are available.

These samples showed minimal risk for microcystin toxins. Users are still encouraged to avoid contact with visible blooms as other irritants may be present.
