Samples collected on August 16th were analyzed for blue-green algal toxins using the protein phosphatase inhibition assay.

All samples had very low toxin levels and are considered a minimal risk.

A bloom of blue-green algae was present along the east coast of the bay. Users are encouraged to avoid contact with visible blooms as other irritants may be present.
