Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County is offering a free, evening workshop as part of our landscaping series. Participants will learn about techniques and designs that help protect the lake and local streams from stormwater pollution. Topics will include gardening with native plants, establishing stream and shoreline buffers, recycling water with rain gardens, quick tips for a healthy lawn, erosion control and prevention, and more. If possible, please send pictures of your landscape in advance, for site-specific recommendations. Otherwise, please bring pictures, base maps or sketches of your property to the workshop for site planning.
